BANGOR and CAMDEN – Edith B. Gibbons, 82, died peacefully Sept. 19, 2018. She was born November 3, 1935, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Henry and Blanche (Russell) Badger. Edith was a graduate of Bangor High School. She retired from EMMC after many years working in the medical records department. Edith was a longtime member of the Essex Street Baptist Church, Bangor. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Fred Gibbons. Edith is survived by four children, Steven Gibbons and his wife, Cheryl of Camden, Susan Schwab of Corrina, Debra Curtis and her husband, David of Blythewood, SC and David Gibbons and his wife, Marie, of Murrietta, CA; one brother, Fred Badger and his wife, Erdene of Bangor; seven grandchildren, Steven Jay Gibbons, Matthew Gibbons, Traci Schwab, Jami Mooers, Saible Pressley, Jessica Kosanovich and Elizabeth Wilson; 14 great-grandchildren, Althea, Gabriel, Domonic, Tristan, Andrew, Gabriella, Gracen, Zachary, Hudson, Grace, Lilly, Troy, Olivia and Rhys; nieces, nephews and cousins. A service of remembrance will be held 12 noon Monday, October 29, 2018 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, with the Rev. Randall Wilbur, pastor of the Essex Street Baptist Church, officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 11 am until time of service Monday. A private entombment will be in the columbarium at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
