With heavy hearts, we announce that Earl Wayne Barnes left this world, and was welcomed into heaven on May 13, 2025, at the age of 72. Wayne was a devoted husband, brother, son, uncle, and friend, known for his generous heart, unwavering faith, and deep love for those around him.
Born on June 21, 1952, in Baltimore Maryland, Wayne lived a life filled with purpose and passion. Prior to retiring, he worked as an Owner Operator/Truck Driver at Dysart's Transportation for 30 years. Wayne is known for traveling the United States on motorcycle, his love for food, helping others, working on antique cars, and his dedication to his beloved wife, Lindy, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Their 50-year bond was one of deep affection, mutual respect, and endless support-a love that stood the test of time and grew ever stronger with each passing year.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melinda Barnes; his mother-in-law, Shirley Seekins; his brother, Daniel Barnes and spouse, Lillian Barnes; his sister, Tammy Perkins; brothers-in-law, Bud Campbell and spouse, Melanie, Michael Seekins and spouse, Laurie; sister-in-law, Melissa Gould; and many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his church family.
Inurnment service will be held at a later date, yet to be determined. Gifts in Wayne's memory may be made to Nealley's Corner Church, 1260 Kennebec Road, Hampden, Maine 04444.
Though his earthly journey has ended, Wayne's love, kindness, and faith remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
