Dwight Denham

August 21, 1956 — August 20, 2025

Hermon, Maine - Dwight Reginald Denham, 68, of Hermon, Maine, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Augusta, Maine, and raised in Hallowell, Dwight proudly served his country in the United States Navy for many years, retiring with the distinguished rank of Master Chief. His dedication, leadership, and integrity earned him the respect of all who served alongside him. Despite his many professional accomplishments, Dwight's greatest pride and joy was his family. Together with his wife, Dorene, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Family was the center of Dwight's world. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, whose love for his family knew no limits. His greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved - sharing meals, celebrating milestones, and being present in both the big and small moments. He was a compassionate, loving man who would help anyone in need, and he made sure his family always knew how deeply they were cherished. He had a rare gift for making everyone feel valued, heard, and cared for.

Dwight is survived and missed by his loving wife of 48 years, Dorene; children, Alex (Tricia) Denham and Ashley (Andy) Exley; four grandchildren, Noah, Lydia, Ella, and Lauren; brothers, Carol Denham and Gene Denham; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Dwight was predeceased by his beloved son, Adam; parents, Harold and Lucy Denham; mother-in-law, Muriel Audette; and brother, Carl "Sonny" Denham.
