Dustin Allen Leonard, 41, passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2026 at Newport Dover-Foxcroft Rail Trail. He was born November 19, 1984 in Lewiston, the son of Penny Gagnon and Allen Leonard.

Dustin attended schools in Poland, Maine and went on to build his own business in carpentry with a specialty in flooring, a skill that he learned in his early twenties. He was known for his charming personality and ability to sell anything to anyone, a trait that began with him selling candy in elementary school to his peers and only grew from there.

Outside of work, Dustin had a deep love for tinkering, woodworking, marketplace lowballing, building computers, grilling, and spending time with his wife and loved ones. He will always be remembered for his carefree and positive personality, goofy dancing, giving nature, and hunger to live everyday to its absolute fullest. No matter where he was, Dustin lit up the room and made everyone feel welcomed.

He is survived by his wife Cristina; his mother, Penny; his children, Hannah, Madi, Dexter, and Ada; his step-daughter, Kaydence; his siblings Allen, Dale, Justin, Tammy, Shawn, Samantha, and Dillan; his grandparents, Henry and Patricia; extended family members and many dear friends.

He was predeceased by his son, Dante, father, Allen and grandmother, Donna.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 1-4 p.m. on Monday, August 10th, 2026 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes support toward funeral expenses and has set up a memorial account in his wife, Cristina Leonard's name at Maine Savings Federal Credit Union.
