BREWER – Dorothy (Campbell) Forsyth, 86, died unexpectedly October 21, 2014 at her home. She was born June 12, 1928 in Cherryfield, daughter of Thomas and Agnes Campbell.

Dot owned and operated Greenwood Acres Campground for 18 years in Eddington. Following the sale of her business, she worked at the Eagles Nest Diner. Throughout the years she made many friends and was known for her feisty personality; a true “Downeaster”. She loved music and for many years was a member of the Brewer Hometown Band.

Surviving are two daughters, Becky Spires of California and Jill Reynolds and her husband, Dennis of Brewer; three grandchildren, Robert, Adam and Courtney and one great-granddaughter, Kailani; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Doug, Robert and Richard Campbell.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 4 to 6pm Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main Street, Brewer. Private interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Cherryfield. Those who wish to remember Dot in a special way may make gifts in her memory to EMHS Foundation, P.O. Box 931 Bangor, ME 04402-0931.
