Doris H. Ashford, 73, of Carmel, passed away unexpectedly, October 29, 2014, at Eastern Maine Medical Center, with her loving husband, Thomas J. T. Ashford, and friends by her side.
Doris was born April 29, 1941 in Germany. She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. T. Ashford of Carmel, and Thomas’ two brothers and sisters; her brother, Rolf Schafer of Germany; her niece, Gabriele Schorer and her husband Werner and their children Saskia and Eileen, all of Germany. Doris will be remembered for her contagious smile, her hearty laugh and big heart. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
