Dear Family, we are saddened to announce the passing of Dennis A. Kosciusko of Stetson, ME., on June 26, 2026 at a Bangor hospital in the presence of his immediate family. Dennis was born in Worcester, MA., in 1942, the son of Adam T. and Victoria M. (Wolanin) Kosciusko.
Dennis graduated Auburn (MA) High School and served in the US Army from June 1962 to August 1965, attaining the rank of First Lieutenant. In 1967, he graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a degree in mechanical engineering.
Dennis was an intelligent man with a creative mind. He travelled extensively with his family, often cross-country, visiting many national parks. He spent time in Montana with his wife working at a camp for youth. In 1973, he purchased land in Maine and created a wonderful space for both him and family. He enjoyed creating and building homes, gardening, and even wrote about his land and being in the right place near the end of his life.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was predeceased by his sister, Christine M. (Kosciusko) White of Forestdale, MA.; his brother, Julian 'Jay' Kosciusko of Westminster, SC. He is survived by his wife, Georgianna; son, Michael; daughter, Deanna; grandchildren, Denise and her husband, Remy Pasco, and Chelsea and her husband, Michael Stack; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Neriyah, Oliver, and Leon.
In keeping with his wishes, Dennis' ashes will be spread on his property of 53 years in Stetson. There will be no services.
