DEDHAM - Debra Louise (Lee) Shannon, 67, died June 20, 2026, at a Bangor hospital, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 22, 1959, in Bangor, the daughter of Earl E. and Gloria M. (Moody) Lee.

Debbie graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1977. Following graduation, she attended the University of Maine, Farmington. In 1979, she married her high school sweetheart, Christopher Shannon and became a proud Navy wife and a student at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia where she graduated in 1981 with a degree in Special Education (Speech Therapy). After thirty years as a Navy wife and living all over the country from Connecticut to Hawaii, they settled in Virginia. In 2021, she retired from Wegman's Supermarkets as the Receiving Manager. Following Chris' retirement in 2023, they returned to Maine and made her home in Dedham. Debbie loved puzzles, the outdoors observing wildlife, spending time at Camp on Spectacle Pond with friends and ATVing with her Airline ATV Riders Club Family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Christopher M. Shannon, are her son, Matthew J. Shannon of Cambridge, Massachusetts and her brother, Earl E. Lee II, of Newark, Delaware. Debbie was predeceased by both of her parents.
