Deborah Ann (Seguino) Cox
Deborah A. (Seguino) Cox died peacefully in Bangor, Maine on March 19, 2026, after living for 20 years with epilepsy. She was born May 8, 1950 in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of Stephen and Theresa (Burgess) Seguino.
Deborah graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1968. Following graduation, she attended the University of Maine at Orono, majoring in French. It was there she made life-long friends who were by her side to the very end of her life. Deborah joined the Seguino family business, first at Napoli Pizza and later at Seguino's Restaurant. In 1980, she married Kerry Cox.
After the family restaurant was sold in 1992, Deborah returned to college to pursue a degree as medical assistant. In 2006, Deborah began suffering epileptic seizures. Although unable to work any longer, she lived a rich life, surrounded by family and friends who supported and cared for her.
Deborah's kind nature was the first thing people noticed about her. Among Deborah's passions in life, she loved dogs and had many over her lifetime. Deborah was not materialistic, instead preferring gifts that were contributions to children's funds and other charities. To know Deborah was to experience a truly humble and compassionate human being.
Deborah is survived by her sister, Stephanie Seguino, nephew Dante Seguino, stepsons Ryan and Shawn Cox and their families, and many, many cousins. In addition to her parents, Deborah was predeceased by her husband, Kerry.
Deborah's family is grateful to Winterberry Heights and Bristol Hospice for the exceptional care they gave her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Friday, March 27, 2026 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary's Catholic Church, 768 Ohio St., Bangor, followed by the Rite of committal at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery.
