Dawn J. Bragg-Stitham, 55, passed away unexpectedly August 8, 2026, in Bangor. She was born April 2, 1971, in Bangor, the daughter of George and Debra Bragg.
Dawn graduated from Bangor High School. Following graduation she explored a few different career paths. Each place she worked, she gained a variety of skills that would help further her opportunities for the next job she chose. When she was younger, Dawn loved roller skating at Happy Wheels, jogging around town, and enjoyed many beach days with family and friends. You could always find Dawn watching her favorite tv show, Law & Order: SVU, listening to some great music or out and about having a good time.
She is survived by her parents, George and Debra; sister, Melissa and her significant other, Joseph; children, Haleigh and Tyler; step-son, Shannon; nephew, Landon; grandchildren, Makynzleigh and Ryder; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and her very special significant other and friend, having spent many wonderful years together, Kevin.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 6-8 p.m. Friday August 21, 2026, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 22. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Bangor following the service. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, following the burial.
For those who wish to remember her in a special way may send flowers to her services at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St. The family wishes to shower Dawn in many, beautiful flowers.
