Darlene Randlett

Darlene J. (Bates) Randlett, 67, passed away on October 16, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on February 21, 1958 in Hartland, ME., the daughter of Herbert J. and Beulah A. (Wilder) Bates.

In addition to her parents, Darlene was predeceased by her brothers, Leslie and Norman Bates; sister, Charlotte Johnston; nephew, Herbert J. Bates III. She is survived by daughters, Darvin (Michael) Randlett Higgins, and Kevlene (Ryan) Tompkins; granddaughter, Kiylah Fish; brother, Herbert Bates II; partner, Jim Neal; special friends, Jeff and Kim Heward; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cats, Morris and Sassy. 

Graveside funeral services will be held in Village Cemetery, Palmyra, in the Spring of 2026. Per Darlene's wishes, a portion of her cremated remains will be scattered at her family farm in Palmyra, to rest peacefully with her happiest memories.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Village Cemetery, Palmyra, ME. All are encouraged to wear bright colors to honor Darlene’s memory.
