Daniel Gilbert Michaud, 39, passed away unexpectedly on June 23, 2026 due to a tragic motor vehicle accident. He was born in Presque Isle on April 2, 1987, the son of Gregory and Vicki Michaud.
Daniel graduated from Presque Isle High School, class of 2005, where he excelled on both the Wildcats baseball and golf teams. After high school, Danny attended Eastern Maine Vocational School for HVAC-R Technician, with over 20 years in this field at the time of his passing.
Daniel was both an avid sports fan of all the New England teams, as well as a sportsman himself. He belonged to the men's league at Pine Hill Golf in Orrington.
Danny endured many personal struggles in his life but through hard work, persistence, and support from his family, partner, and friends he overcame and was a better man for it. His family is so proud of all his accomplishments and continued hard work.
Above all, Family meant everything to Danny. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Danny was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Patricia Soucy; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Jean Michaud; special uncle and mentor, Colin Gamblin; great-uncle Clarence 'Babe' Michaud, who gave him his love of golf and cribbage. He is survived by his parents, Greg and Vicki Michaud; loving life partner, Alexis Goodwin and their fur-babies, Marvin and Gilbert; brother, James Michaud and his life-partner, Danielle Hotham; very special nephew, Wyatt Michaud; special aunt, Lisa Gamblin; cousin; Danielle Gamblin; many cousins, extended family, and friends; second family, the Goodwins: Vicki, Rick and Jody, Zach and Rachel, Ben and Patti H., Gabe and Melissa; bonus nieces and nephews, the O'Leary's: Cathy and Dave, Jenny, Ken, Ally, Chris and Lisa. A special thanks goes out to, Boston Danny, Casey from Palm Beach Florida, and everyone at the Sunset Group, who were an instrumental part in his recovery.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 2-4pm on Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, ME. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor, immediately following the service. All are welcome to attend a gathering at High Tide restaurant in Brewer, ME., following the committal to share stories and memories of Danny's life.
