Newburgh, Maine - Charles William Weston, 78, passed on September 11, 2026, at home, following an extended illness. He was born October 15, 1947, in Houlton, the son of William W. and Dorothy J. (Victory) Weston.
He graduated from Houlton High School, class of 1966 and graduated from Bryant & Stratton College, Boston, in 1968, where he studied computer electronics. After graduating, he married his high school sweetheart, Jane Webb. They celebrated 58 years of marriage in June. Charlie served six years in the 112th Medical Company Maine Army National Guard. He and Jane raised their children, Aaron and Jennifer, in Brewer and later lived in Eddington and Hampden.
Kind, caring, and faithful, Charlie left a wonderful legacy of compassion and integrity. His greatest joys in life were his family and his faith in Jesus Christ. He dedicated countless hours of service to others and lived his faith as a very active member of Grace United Methodist Church in Bangor for 45 years, serving as lay leader for many years and on several boards. Upon the closure of GUMC, he transferred to Bangor First United Methodist Church (FUMC). He was employed by Burroughs, Logical Solutions, Ecolab, and Uniship. In retirement years, he enjoyed spending summers at camp on Nickerson Lake in New Limerick where many special memories with family were made. Charlie was a member of St. Andrews Masonic Lodge #83, Valley of Bangor Scottish Rite, and Anah Shrine.
He was predeceased by his parents; and in-laws, Peter Sr. and Raymond Webb, and Norma (Garfield) Boutilier. Charles is survived by his wife, Jane; son, Aaron and wife, Danelle, of Newburgh; daughter, Jennifer Therrien and husband, Travis, of Bucksport; and four beloved grandchildren, Jacob (Emily) and Patrick Weston, and Wynn and Lily Therrien. Charlie is also survived by his brother, David and wife, Joyce, of Brewer; sisters-in-law, Marie Webb, Viola Kemp, Donna King, and Linda Webb; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank Bristol Hospice for their compassion and exceptional care.
