Carolyn D. (Goodridge) Miller, passed away peacefully, May 10, 2025 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Bangor, July 10, 1943, the daughter of Arthur and Myrtie (Ayer) Goodridge.
Carolyn graduated from Bangor High School at the age of 17 and began a life long career with Bangor Hydro Electric Company, until her retirement.
She had a love for animals, and grew up riding horses with her dear friend, Pat Grass.
Carolyn married Walter C. Miller and they had two children, Kimberly and Todd. Walter predeceased her in 1990.
She was deeply involved in and a longtime member of the Hampden Highlands United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. Her faith was a significant and meaningful part of her life.
Carolyn is survived by her two children, Kimberly Miller-Jordan and her husband James Jordan, Todd Miller; grandchildren, Ashley Lee and her husband, Michael, Grace Jordan-McDaniel and her husband, Thomas, Isaac Jordan and Garrett Miller; her fiancée, Dale Nelson and his daughter Tammy and her husband, Sheldon and their three children, Christopher, Jaeanna and Michael; Dales's sister, Linda and her husband, David Clukey.
She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Sally Jacques and two brothers, Arthur and Robert Goodridge.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 3 pm to 5 pm Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. A service to celebrate her life will be held 2 pm. Sunday at the Hampden Highlands, United Methodist Church, 44 Kennebec Rd., Hampden. Private interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden.
The family invites all to share conversation and refreshments in the parish hall, immediately following the service.
Those wishing to remember Carolyn in a special way may contribute in her memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave. Bangor or the Hampden Highlands United Methodist Church.
