Beverly Sargent, 87, passed away at her home on July 4, 2026, with her children and grandchildren at her side. She was born on July 30, 1938, the daughter of Roy and Blanche Quimby.

Beverly graduated from Bangor High School, class of 1956. She married her Husband, Everett Sargent, in 1960, celebrating 44 years of marriage before Everett’s passing in 2004. Beverly and Everett raised 5 hardworking children on their 200+ acre horse farm. Beverly was an accomplished horsewoman and was still riding well into her 80s. They owned and operated Sargent’s Riding Stable, where their children helped run the stable. All the kids followed in their footsteps and still enjoy horses to this day.

Beverly loved her family; when the girls were in High School, she never missed a basketball or softball game. She taught hundreds of kids the care and riding of horses. She was an amazing cook, and every meal was made with love and plenty of extras in case anyone was to stop by. She always made sure no one would go away hungry. She enjoyed writing in her journal; documenting daily events and stories of her grandchildren.

She was an amazing mom, grandmother, great grandmother (Crackah) and great-great grandmother. She was loved by everyone who ever met her. Her passing has left a huge hole in all our hearts.

In addition to her parents and husband, Beverly was predeceased by seven brothers, Roger Roland, Alston, Aubrey, Leonard, Allen, and Johnny, three sisters, Loretta, Beryl, and Joan. She is survived by her brother, Lynwood Quimby and family; children, Angela Reeves and husband, Carl, Debbie Page, Tammy Sargent, Sandy Sirabella, and Scott Sargent; stepdaughters, Pamela Barraras and Brenda Durand; grandchildren, Chad, Tiffany, Kayla, Chelsea, Ian, Katlyn, Dustin, Ryan, Randi-Jan, Kimmy, and Brandon; great grandchildren, Madison, Maci, Morgan, Lincoln, Mabel, Owen, Elsie, Aiden and Lily; great-great grandchildren, Freya and Cora; special friends, Barbara Valgouse, Jane Whithee, Carol Hodge, Jeff and Cathy Dow, Brenda Varney; sisters-In-law; Teddy and Donna Lee.

Gifts in Beverly’s memory may be made to Bryce Clement for his recovery and prosthesis fund (three year old boy from Kenduskeag, ME.) There is a Maine Saving Account under Sara and Brad Clements, or Venmo is Sara-Clement-1.
