Orono - Beverly June (Robertson) Riedler passed away peacefully in Bangor, with her family at her bedside.
Bev was born on June 20, 1946, in Olympia, Washington, to Edward and Jean Robertson. She grew up in Vancouver, Washington, after moving there in 1955. After graduating from Hudson's Bay High School in 1964, she attended Clark College and earned her nursing degree in 1973. Bev spent most of her career working at Providence and Swedish hospitals in Seattle, retiring in 2008.
She married Bill Riedler on August 17, 1968. They had one daughter, Deborah.
Bev found great joy in gardening and was an active member of First Christian Church of Kent. Her Christian faith was central to her life.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Riedler, of Orono; her daughter, Deborah (Aaron) Weiskittel, and grandchildren, Astoria and Corbett of Winterport; her siblings, Patricia Talbott of Noblesville, IN, Joe Robertson (Lorraine) of Vancouver, WA, Lee Robertson (Pam) of Westfield, IN, John Robertson (Kathy) of Vancouver, WA, and Kathy Stevens (Ralph) of Marysville, WA; her brother-in-law, Jerry (Arletta) Riedler; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Jean Robertson; infant brother, Ray Dean Robertson; and granddaughter, Corva Weiskittel.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at 9:45am at the Superintendent's office, 1048 State Street, Bangor. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date in Washington State.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Bev's memory by planting a tree or flowers, or by making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association , 383 US-1 #2C, Scarborough, Maine 04074 to support Alzheimer's research and care.
