Beverly Estelle Giles, 86, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Beverly was born on May 24, 1940, to George E. and Victory E. (Parsons) Giles. She grew up with a deep love for family, faith, and service, values that guided her throughout her life.

Beverly found joy in reading, playing the piano, crocheting, and sharing her gifts with others. She was a wonderful cook who loved entertaining family and friends in her home. Above all else, she loved her family and dedicated herself to raising her children to know and love Jesus Christ.

A woman of strong faith, Beverly devoted much of her life to serving the church. She was a longtime member of the Nazarene Church, where she faithfully served in many roles over the years, including Sunday School teacher, treasurer, choir leader, pianist, and numerous other ministries. Most recently, she attended South Levant Baptist Church, where she once again shared her musical talents by serving as pianist for a season.

Throughout her life, Beverly was known for her strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. In her early adult years, she worked in a factory before pursuing business ownership. She operated Crafty Critters and later owned and operated the Iron Kettle Restaurant, where she combined her love of cooking and hospitality.

Beverly and her beloved husband, Floyd, enjoyed several years as snowbirds in Florida. While she appreciated the warm winters, she always looked forward to returning to Maine each summer to cook at Lakeside Advent Christian Campground in Belgrade, a place she cherished and where she formed many lasting friendships.

Beverly was predeceased by her parents, George and Victory Giles; her brother, Arthur Giles; and her beloved husband of 55 years, Floyd E. Giles, Jr.

She is survived by her children: Sonda Chase and her husband Randy of Etna, Maine, Bill Giles and his wife Naomi of Prescott, Arizona; Dave Giles and his wife Marybeth of Chimacum, Washington, and Vicki Davis and her husband David of Carmel, Maine. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

The family will hold a private burial service. A Celebration of Life will be open to family and friends on Thursday, June 25, at 11:00 a.m. at South Levant Baptist Church. Following the service, a barbecue meal will be shared as family and friends gather to celebrate Beverly's life, faith, and legacy through stories and fellowship.

Beverly's life was marked by faith, service, generosity, and love. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished, the lives she touched, and the steadfast faith she modeled for generations. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
