Bangor - Beverley Fox Shapiro, 85, died October 13, 2025. She was born July 10, 1940, in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of Michael and Freda (Harris) Fox.
Beverley graduated from McGill University with a degree in Elementary Education. She was the Librarian of Fruit Street Elementary School in Bangor for many years. Beverley was also an active member of the Jewish community.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, Howard L. Shapiro, and her brother, Joseph Fox.
Beverley is survived by her son, William Shapiro; daughter, Edythe Shapiro; daughter-in-law, Elena Colarocco; grandson, Alex Shapiro-Colarocco; sister, Marion Fox; and several nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Jewish Funeral Chapel, 118 Center St., Bangor. Interment will be in Beth Israel Cemetery, Bangor.
