Betty A. (Pervear) Williams

Frankfort - Betty A. (Pervear) Williams,89, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026 at a Bangor hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born on June 7, 1937 in Blue Hill to Howard C. Pervear Sr. and Edna B. (Allen) Pervear.

Betty was the lone graduate of her Brooklin class of 1955.

After graduation she briefly attended nursing school but left to marry her love, Burt, December 30,1955. They were married for 53 years.

They raised their four children in their home in Frankfort. In 1968 the elementary school was in need of a kindergarten teacher and asked her to fill in for the year. She had over 20 children in her class and loved teaching them. She continued working as an aide for many years.

Nearly every Wednesday would find her volunteering at the food cupboard in Winterport. She worked there for about 35 years.

She and Burt enjoyed many activities together, especially traveling. In her lifetime she visited 48 states.

She had many friends and enjoyed hosting them in her home or at the family camp in Brooklin.

Betty is survived by three generations: her children, Marcia Williams, Mark (Lora) Williams, Debbie (Brad) Moore, Lori (Dave) Blank; grandchildren, Daphne (Bob) Thomas, Angela (Andrew) Paradis, Mike Robbins, Karie Robbins, Ashley (Tyler) Durant, Jordan (Nicole) Moore; greatgrandchildren, Ethan Paradis, Landon Thomas, Emma Robbins, Adeline Thomas, Meara Durant, Laila Moore. She had three nieces and three nephews.

She was predeceased by her three brothers, Howard Jr., John and George, also by a nephew.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 2-4pm, Friday, September 25, 2026 at the Hampden-Gilpatrick of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Ave, Hampden.
