HERMON - Bernice E. "Bunny" Adams, 94, passed away peacefully June 11, 2025, at her home of natural causes. She was born May 25, 1931, in Hermon, the daughter of Edward H. and Dora M. (Banks) Pomroy.
Bunny married the love of her life, Ronald E. Adams July 8, 1953 whom she celebrated over 53 years of marriage until his passing in 2006. Affectionately known as "Mumma" and "Big Nana" (from her first great-grandson, Bryce), she and Ronald raised their five children, Ronda, Ramona, Ricky, Randal and Regina.
One can attribute Bunny's longevity to both her healthy lifestyle and her ability to multitask between her family life, work life and pursuing her many hobbies. She was an avid gardener and mastered canning and was particularly known for her pickles.
In addition to her parents and her loving husband, Bunny was predeceased by nine siblings. In addition to her five children, she is survived by fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Eloise Grimes. As the loving Matriarch of her family, BUNNY will be deeply missed. The family of Bunny would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their extraordinary care and to Wendy Adams for all of her dedication, time and love kindly spent with our mother. Rest in peace our Mumma.
A Celebration of Bunny's Life will be held from 1-3p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
