Barbara J. Allen, 81, of LaGrange, Maine, and Port Richey, Florida, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2025. She was born February 14, 1944, the daughter of Eugene and Mary Foss of Charleston.
Barbara was a homemaker, as well as a CNA at the Elizabeth Levinson Center in Bangor, Maine. She retired after years of working with wonderful co-workers. Barbara married John Allen Sr., together they enjoyed 62 years. As snowbirds in Florida, they enjoyed the company of many friends.
Barbara is survived by her husband, John Allen, Sr.; four children, John Allen Jr. (Sarah McVay), Melanie (Avon) Stanley, Mary (Myron) Stockwell, and Eric Allen; grandchildren, Audreanna Karnes, Caleb Stanley (Persis Smith), Jessica McElroy (Family); two great-grandchildren whom she loved as her own, Kennon and Maddie; two loving brothers, James (Donna) Foss and Stephen (Kathy) Foss; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier & Paul the Apostle Catholic Church 128 Riverside Street, Milo, Maine. at 10 A.M. Saturday, May 24th, 2025 followed by the Rite of Committal at William's Cemetery, Bradford, Maine. A celebration luncheon of Barbara's life will be held at the Bradford Community Center 345 East Road Bradford, Maine following interment.
