Annie Terrill

Annie May Terrill, 93, of Hermon passed away on December 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 24, 1932 in Bangor, the daughter of Benjamin and Annie (McKenzie) Treadwell.

Annie spent most of her childhood in Bangor and Brewer, moving to Hermon for high school. She graduated Hermon High School in 1949. She married Chester 'Chet' Terrill in 1951, they settled in Hermon and spent 66 years together before his passing in 2017.

Annie worked at Viner Shoe until 1978 when she started caring for her grandsons at her home. Once the boys were older, she worked at Rich's Department Store and Westgate Manor until her retirement. Annie's greatest pride and joy was her family, and they treasured her as well.

In addition to her parents and husband, Annie was predeceased by her eight brothers and sisters; as well as her in-laws. She is survived by son, Arthur Terrill and his wife, Catherine, of Orono; daughter, Joyce Allen and her husband, Mark, of Hermon; three grandsons, Jason Allen and his wife, Alycia, of Pittsfield, Barry Terrill and his wife, Mathy, of Old Town, and Brandon Terrill and his wife, Madilyn, of Hallowell; seven great-grandchildren, Colton and Cooper Allen, Delaney, Griffin, Anika, and Silas Terrill, and Kassandra Eberhart; special extended family, Amy Cyr and Stacey Atwood; many nieces and nephews, including Howie Treadwell and Jim Young, and the children of her brother, H. Edwin Young.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 1-3pm on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor.
