Ann Marie Dyer, passed this life peacefully on August 28, 2026 at Orono Commons Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 1, 1936, the daughter of Aubrey and Pauline (Griffin) Dyer.
Ann was a graduate of Brewer High School and Eastern Maine Medical Center School of Nursing. After working several years as a hospital nurse, she graduated from a nurse anesthetist program in Philadelphia and continued her career in that capacity in Ellsworth and Bangor. She received her Master's Degree in the late 70's from South Carolina University and continued administrative duties at EMMC until retirement.
Ann was active in civic affairs and served as the mayor of Brewr in the Late 70's. She was an avid downhill skier and took trips with friends in the eastern and western states in this country and Europe. She made her home on Lucerne Lake for many years and enjoyed swimming, boating and gatherings with friends. Her later years were spent in Bangor where she remained active in her retirement community.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m., September 11, 2026, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. A private burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Brewer.
