Alice Lorraine Tuck

A. Lorraine Tuck, 89, died at home. She was born April 28, 1936 in Bangor, daughter of Harold and Elzora (Wing) LeClair.

Lorraine attended Orono schools. She was employed by University of Maine, Orono Campus for 37 years. She made friends while working in housekeeping and in the library.

Lorraine was an exceptional woman - an angel among us- who welcomed everyone that she met, with open arms and an open heart. She lived with the grace of an angel, accepting all she met with warmth and compassion. Her soul was pure, her heart generous and her presence a gift. Anyone who knew her were truly blessed.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Richard (Dick) are her daughters; Sharon White and her fiancé, Richard Buck, Susan Gagnon and her husband, Milton, and Wendy Brown and her husband, Robert. She is also survived by one sister, Mina Burr, twelve grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren.

Lorraine was predeceased by her first husband, William Porter; son, Kevin Porter; grandson, Derek Porter; and a number of siblings.

Memorial services will be held at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, ME, 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith 163 Center Street, Bangor, ME, following the service.
