Obituary for Vaughn Millard Spencer
Vaughn M. Spencer, 74, passed away April 25th, 2023 unexpectedly at home. He was born in Hermon, Maine on August 30th, 1948, the son of Hilton G. and Inez (Leeman) Spencer.
Vaughn served in the U.S. Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He also served many years as a paramedic for the town of Levant and many other surrounding communities in the state of Maine, until due to his health issues, he was forced to retire.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Christy Spencer, his children; Tammy Spencer (Paul Lochner), Vaughn Spencer II, Amanda Spencer (Shawn Tracy), and stepchildren; Jon Kosobud (Melissa) and Kyle Kosobud (Jessica), his sisters; Sharon McLain (Stuart) and Robin Frost (Larry), and his brother, Graydon Spencer; 10 grandchildren, who were the apples of his eye; his father and mother in-law, William and Donna Perkins; brother and sister in law, Vaughn and Becky Pelkey; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his grandparents, Millard and Lillian Spencer and Vernon and Eva Leeman.
Friends may call from 10-11AM, Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023, with a service held at 11AM. A reception will take place following the service at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor.
