Obituary for Tami Bridges

LEVANT - On Saturday, March 25, 2023, Tami (Watt) Bridges, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at her home, surrounded by family, at age 59 after a brave 20-month battle with glioblastoma.
Tami was born on May 8, 1963, in Castle Hill, Maine to Richard and Pat Watt. Tami was a 1981 graduate of Presque Isle High School and a 1983 graduate of NMVTI. On April 7, 1990, Tami married the love of her life, Jon Bridges. Together they raised two daughters, Miranda and Alexys.
Tami was employed for several years at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle as a medical transcriptionist until relocating to the Bangor area where she continued her career, most recently working at Hometown Health Center in Newport up until her illness.
Tami had a passion for campfires, camping and riding side by sides - anything that she and Jon could do together. She was also a sports fan - anything New England, and a big music fan - old country, new country and 80's hairbands. She also loved her ice cream, whoopie pies and Moe's Original BBQ. For the past several years, Tami found many friendships through her Tribe at Zumba at Sunshine's Fitness Studio. Tami held her own in the front row of the studio, and always chatted and laughed all the way through class. Typical Tami, a laugh and a little bit of sass!
She is survived by her loving husband Jon, two children, Miranda (Lennon) Hanscom and her husband Dustin, and Alexys (Bridges) Wade and her husband Jesse; five precious grandchildren, Karli, Charli, Dustin Jr., Cooper and Dylan; her parents, siblings Ricky, Tracie, Mike and Daryn and his wife Julie, and several cousins and nephews. In addition, she will be missed by very special friends Evie, Katie, Rhonda, Marie, Dawn and Jody, as well as the Larrabee's, Buckley's and the boys at Black Bear Crane. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 29 at Brookings - Smith in Bangor from 5:00 - 7:00. A Celebration of Tami's Life will be held later this summer.
