Obituary for Jeannette Cecile Gagnon (Beaudoin)

LEVANT - Jeannette C. (Beaudoin) Gagnon, 86, went to meet her Savior May 3, 2023, at a Bangor hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 16, 1936, in West Stewartstown, New Hampshire, the daughter of Marie Ailene (Beaudoin) Cote and Harvey Neault.

Jeannette was very strong in her faith and loved the Lord and lived each day to serve Him. She was married to Albert J. Gagnon in 1956, celebrating 46 years of marriage until his passing. She was a homemaker for many years and became a hospice volunteer. It was at that time she found her passion for nursing. She enrolled in the nursing program at Husson College and graduated in 1994. She retired from Maine Veterans Home as a Registered Nurse at the age of 73. Jeannette was a woman of many talents; she was a phenomenal cook, seamstress and quilter and made quilts for all of her family. She was known for her baked beans, raspberry squares and her bread and butter pickles!

Jeannette is survived by her children, Linda Arnold and her husband, Ed, Tammy Roy and her husband, Rob, Thomas Gagnon, John Gagnon, James “Jim” Gagnon and his wife, Cassandra and Madonna Devlin and her husband, Josh; daughter-in-law, Karen Gagnon; grandchildren, Matthew Arnold, Michelle (Pearson) Pullen, Jenna (Arnold) Eastman, Jared Gagnon, Tiffany (Roy) Martin, Joshua Roy, and Andrew Hamel; great-grandchildren, Madison Pullen, Brock Pullen, Kelsey Roy, Olivia Roy, Owen Roy, Chase Martin, Rhett Martin, Tate Martin, Lucas Gagnon, Grace Gagnon and Josie Eastman. In addition to her parents and husband, Jeannette was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Gagnon; son, Gregory Gagnon; daughter-in-law, Donna Gagnon; and Jaques, her favorite feline friend!

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Brandi Murphy who was Jeannette’s personal caregiver and friend. They would also like to acknowledge her very special friends Marsha Moore, Jeri Cyr and Natalie Salavarria. Also, a special thank you to Naomi, RN, and the nursing team at St. Joseph Hospital for providing Jeannette with exceptional and compassionate care.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1195 Stetson Rd., Exeter. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 12 noon until time of service. The family invites everyone to share conversation and refreshments at the church, immediately following the service. Interment will be in Waugh Cemetery, following the reception.
