Bangor - Dwayne C. Nason, 83, died unexpectedly May 6, 2023, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 5, 1939, in Haynesville, Maine, one of nine children born to Charles and Grace Nason.

He was educated in Haynesville and Houlton schools. Dwayne worked all his life as a truck driver. He married Nancy Cunningham; they settled in Augusta later moving to Bangor.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Nancy (Cunningham) Nason, are his stepdaughter, Tammy Colfer and her husband, Timothy, of Hermon; grandchildren, Shawn Colfer of Bangor, and Alexis Colfer of Hermon; He is survived by one brother, three sisters, one brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister and three brothers.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023 with Rev. Garnett Chute, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St. in Bangor, immediately following the funeral service.
