Thelma Florence Cyr, 86, passed away peacefully February 11, 2016, at Phillips-Strickland House in Bangor. She was born May 15, 1930, in Hampden, the daughter of Gorham L. and Grace L. (Meservey) Southard.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra Cote and husband William of Hampden; a son, Stanley McLaughlin and partner Brian of Bangor; grandchildren, Duane and James Cote; a brother, Laforest Southard; a sister, Iva; great-grandchildren, Allyssa and Ryan Cote; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by sisters, Theresa, Barbara, Rita, Delores, Norma, and Arlene. The family would like to thank the staff of Phillips-Strickland House, and especially Karen Ellis, for the wonderful care and compassion given to Thelma over the years.
