Obituary for Grace Eleanor Halloran (Peirce)

Orono - Grace E. (Peirce) Halloran, 69, died August 22, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. She was born September 29, 1945 in Bangor the daughter of Phyllis Perry-Peirce. Grace attended Bangor Schools. She was employed at Viner Shoe, Mardens in Brewer, and Phoenix Footwear. Grace was a hard worker, having had multiple jobs at the same time throughout her life. She was a caring person with a Heart of Gold, and put the needs of others before her own. Grace loved just being around and spending time with her family and friends. She was always entertaining, and making people laugh. Grace was also a fan of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and enjoyed watching the fights. If she didn’t have the tool in her trunk, or virtually anything except the kitchen sink, you didn’t need it. Grace enjoyed spending time with Michele and Ryan, going to the Red Sox, Mets, and Celtics Games, UFC fights, Rockefeller Center on Christmas, Broadway Shows, and her special trips to Portland with the girls. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Park and a brother, David Peirce. Grace is survived by her daughter, who was her pride and joy, Michele Thibodeau and her husband Ryan; sister, Donna Haley and her husband Paul; special nephew, David Peirce and his wife Lynn; great niece Ellie, who was the light of her life, and Jenna; brother Joe Thibodeau and his wife Barbara; special nephew Shawn; her second daughter Sheri and her husband, Darren Martin; granddaughters, Hillary Piotrowski and her husband Chris, and Paige Martin, and her hunny Nick; great grand-daughter, Harper; several other nieces and nephews. A celebration of Grace’s life will be held 5 – 9:00 p.m. Friday August 28, 2015 at Seasons Restaurant, at the DownUnder Club, 427 Main St., Bangor.
