HE DID IT HIS WAY
Newport and Bangor – Lawrence A. LaPointe, 78, died surrounded by family and friends Friday, April 10, 2015. He was born June 21, 1936, in Dover, the son of Leo and Leona (Goudreau) LaPointe.

Lawrence worked hard and he played hard. He loved his daughter Nicole, his horses, his planes, his farm and his beloved son Glenn LaPointe, whom he lost 3 years ago. He also loved rescuing horses with Dianne LaPointe.

He was surrounded in his last days with a “second family” that he grew very fond of – Niki and Dugie, Camille, Karen, Carrie, Mike, Sally, Vicki, Tim, Jim Cox, and Peter.

Lawrence is survived by Nicole LaPointe, Dianne LaPointe, Lori Rodgers, Lonnie LaPointe, and Nona; his stepdaughter Lori Sargent; and his beloved sisters Evangeline Burnett, Jean Smith and Eileen Perkins.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Picone and the nursing staff at St. Joseph Hospital for their caring support.

At his request services will be private for the family. Lawrence will be soaring high with Glenn as they loved to do – with their favorite dogs, JR, Shep, and Major.
