Obituary for Mildred Laura Kinens

EDDINGTON AND HUDSON - Mildred Laura Kinens, 88, died peacefully at her home in Eddington April 11, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 12, 1930 in Corinth, daughter of Lee Franklin and Arlene Emily (Davis) Alexander.

Mildred was employed for 23 years by the Bangor Shoe Company, retiring as Floor Foreman. Her passion for many years was quilting and knitting. She also loved working with young people and served in many capacities at the Glenburn Evangelical Covenant Church.

Surviving are her two children, Debbie Nadeau and her husband, Tom of Bangor and John Avery of Argyle; grandchildren, Stacy Fitzgerald and her fiancé, Harvey Gosselin of Bangor, Zac Nadeau and his girlfriend, Kristina Hart of Eddington, James Avery of Argyle, Jessie and Desiree Ewer of Tennessee; great grandchildren, Evan, Dylan, Aubrey, Eowyn, Wylde and Abel; three sisters, Joyce Karp, Irene Hastey and Lois Ann Knowles; one brother, Adolf Alexander; a special niece, Sandy Lynch and other nieces and nephews. Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Harry Kinens; one brother, Lee Alexander Jr. and a sister, Geraldine Coppola.

The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments 1 to 3 pm Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor, where a prayer service will be held 2pm with Pastor Jack Dowling, presiding.
