It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Lou (Wilson) Robinson has lost their beautiful mother who went to Heaven on October 12, 2018, surrounded by the love of her family.
Betty was born on May 10, 1935, the daughter of Edward and Audrey Wilson, in East Millinocket.
In addition to her parents, she joins her husband Cyril Preston Robinson in Heaven, after 59 years of marriage; brothers Loren and Kenny Wilson.
Betty was loved and cherished by her children, Terry Robinson, Pamela Robinson, Cheryl Robinson, and Kandi Robinson. She loved her grandchildren, Terry Robinson II, Shellie Robinson, Sara Harvey, Karen Harvey, Jessica Hamm and David Potter; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Hardy, Kaylee Harvey, Triston Hamm, Olivia and Natalie Robinson, and they loved her right back; two sisters, Carol and Cora, and Melissa Snow and her family
Betty was an amazing woman. She touched everyone she met with her laughter and great sense of humor and made us all laugh at her “sayings”. She did so much for so many people.
Betty was a true entrepreneur. She was proud to be one of the founders and former owners of the Heritage Bowling Center (now the Sports Arena) in Hermon, ME. She was thrilled to open Ruffles and Ribbons, a beautiful shop showcasing her love and talent for making bows and flower arrangements. She then opened Bows by Betty and made custom bows from her home.
Betty loved working at Patrick’s Hallmark and all the friends she met there. She belonged to the Emblem Club, and was President of Beta Mu, Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, and The Red Hat Society.
Betty was grateful for the care and compassion that CCOM gave her.
Mom loved flowers, especially pastel colors. She would love for the service to be filled with flowers from her friends.
A funeral service will be held 3pm Tuesday October 16, 2018 at Brookings-Smith 133, Center Street, Bangor. Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 2pm until time of service Tuesday. Interment will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites all to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings –Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor, following the interment.
