BANGOR & MILO – Lawrence “Larry” London, 76, lost his battle with cancer July 22, 2018. He was born November 5, 1941, in Milo, the son of George L. and Anniebelle (McLaughlin) London.

Larry graduated from Milo High School, Class of 1960. He then went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Education from Farmington State Teachers College in 1965, and also received his Master’s in Education from the University of Maine in 1969. A dedicated and beloved teacher in Bangor for 38 years and substitute teacher for an additional ten years, his love included teaching and, during retirement, antiques dealing.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Earl, Nelson, and Billy London. He is survived by his sons, Eric London of Spring Hill, Florida, and Jason London and wife, Kari, of Newcastle; his granddaughter, Kaia London, who was very special to him; mother of his sons, Jean London of Hampden; brother, John London of Springfield; sister-in-law, Judy London of Milo; many nieces, nephews; and many dear friends.

Larry’s family wishes to thank Dr. Chodkiewicz and Fogg, and the team at Lafayette Family Cancer Center for their care and kindness during his journey.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service 10 a.m., Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, with Rev. Booker, officiating. Those who wish to remember Larry in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Bangor Human Society, 693 Mt Hope Ave, Bangor, ME 04401.
