Marshall E. Thompson, 68, passed away Sunday May 6, 2018. He was born in Ellsworth September 10, 1949, son of Robert F. and Maxine (Lord) Thompson.
He graduated from Maine Maritime Academy in 1971. Marshall worked many years at Eastern Fine Paper, Bangor Hydro and Husson College.
He took pride in the home he built for his family and lived in comfortably for 40 years. Marshall enjoyed his time with his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his wife, Rosa (Cole) Thompson of Holden; a son Robert Thompson of Holden; a daughter Ellen Thompson, her partner Mike McFarlin, and a special granddaughter, Lily McFarlin, all of South Portland; a twin sister Lanie Farwell and her husband Bud of Green Lake; a brother Fred Thompson and his wife Susan of Bucksport; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and many friends. He was predeceased by a sister Cathy Pinkham.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
