Bangor- Muriel H. (Grant) Wescott, 84, wife of the late George I. Wescott Sr., died peacefully at her home, March 2, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born January 22, 1934, in Winn, the daughter of Herbert and Ella (Perkins) Grant.

Muriel’s cats brought her great joy. She loved spending time with them and looking after their needs. Muriel also enjoyed reading, gardening and caring for her house plants.

In addition to her parents, and husband of 48 years, George I. Wescott Sr., Muriel is predeceased by two brothers, Don and George Grant. She is survived by her children, Cheryl A. Wescott, Russell W. Wescott, Stephen E. Wescott, Linda J. Cameron, and George I. Wescott Jr.; grandchildren, Alan Stormann Jr., Christine Terrill, George I. Wescott IV, Stephen Wescott Jr., Melissa Wescott, and Shawn Wescott; several great grandchildren, and her sister, Ruth Bracy.
