Obituary for Joan Marie Williams (Fogg)

BUCKSPORT – Joan M. (Fogg) Williams, 86, passed away February 13, 2018, with her family by her side. She was born March 4, 1931, in Orrington, the daughter of Arlo and Charlotte (Freeman) Fogg.

Joan graduated from Bucksport High School. She worked for many years in the Shoe Shop industry, working for numerous shoe manufacturers. Joan enjoyed working flea markets and in her husband’s antique business after retiring from the shoe industry. She was a 50+ year member of the Floral Grange in Bucksport. Joan enjoyed working in her flower garden in her down time.

In addition to her parents, Joan is predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Williams; and a brother, Robert Fogg. Surviving are her brother, Donald Fogg and wife, Juanita; a niece, Sandra Manning and husband, Brian; and two nephews, Ronald Fogg and wife, Margo, and James Fogg; many grand-nieces and grand-nephews; dear friends, Gary and Sheila Miller, and Esther Stewart.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, February 16, 2018, at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main Street, Brewer. Interment will be at Maine Veteran’s Cemetery, Augusta, in the spring. Condolences to the family may be expressed at Brookings-Smith.com
