Obituary for Rose Marie Stewart (Legasse)

ORRINGTON - Rose M. Stewart passed away peacefully at her son, Ron's home in Orrington, Maine, on February 7, 2018. She was born July 23, 1931, in Brewer, Maine. She was the daughter of Eugene and Anne Lagasse. In addition to her parents and siblings, she was predeceased by her husband. Edgar "Pinky" Stewart, her son, Joseph Stewart, her daughter-in-law, Maggie Stewart, her son-in-law, Stephen Bowden, her granddaughter, Corrine Stewart, and great-grandson, Nicholas Gould. Surviving her daughter, Lynn Bowden of Bucksport, daughter-in-law, Joan Goodwin of Bucksport, and sons, Richard Stewart of Bangor, Ronald Stewart and his wife, Robin, of Orrington, and Charles Stewart of Glenburn. She is also survived by grandchildren, Nicole Gould, Leslie West, Stefanie Beers, Kelly Hudson, Mary Meservey, Scott Stewart, Michael Stewart, Lena House, Janice Broberg, Katie Stewart, and Connie Stewart, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. One of Rose's last requests was to have a party in her honor. Please join us at Jeff's Catering in Brewer on Sunday, February 11, at 1 p.m. Those who wish to remember Rose, may make gifts in her memory to the Orrington Fire and Rescue Association, 14 Johnson Mill Rd, Orrington, ME 04474.
