Carlton “Carl” Fuller Edgecomb, 67, passed away November 14, 2017 at home, with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Bangor, June 25, 1950, son of Walter C. and Mary (Ranney) Edgecomb, Sr.
Carlton was a graduate of Hermon High School, and Maine Maritime Academy Class of 1973. He served 26 years in the US Army. Carlton worked as a Water Treatment consultant for various companies, retiring after several years of employment as a Boiler Inspector for the state of Maine.
Carl loved to travel; whether it was touring other countries, traveling state to state, or driving the back roads of Maine. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his daughters and grandchildren. He was a member of the American Legion Post #84 of Orono.
Surviving are two daughters, Renee Edgecomb of Old Town, Nicole Edgecomb of North Andover, MA.; three grandchildren, AJ Monroe, Jr., Callie Monroe, Evelyn Ball; three brothers, Walter “Chip” Edgecomb, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl of Manchester, Steven Edgecomb, Sr. and his wife, Carolyn of Otis and FL., Jeffrey Edgecomb, Ph. D. and his wife, Linda of Orono; one sister, June Laplante and her husband, David of Dedham; God mother, Priscilla Edgecomb of N.C.; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, including Larry Bowdon, George Saviolas, Kelsie Fish, and the Bretons.
Family and friends are invited to come pay their respects during the hours of 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Monday, November 20, 2017. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St. Bangor, following the service.
