The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Richard Philippon can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Peter and Vicki McLean

1971... I was standing in front of Garland St Junior High with a few of my friends I already knew when a tall gangly kid approached with an infectious smile. We were all scared and so nervous... Not Tony. I remember him saying something funny and making a few stooges references. The mood immediately lightened and we were all laughing. That was Tony. There are few people in this world that have the ability to walk into a room and just light it up. Tony did. He had a way of making everyone he came into contact with feel special. Tony never had a bad day. Eternally optimistic his influence was always that of positive energy. Everyone loved him. There are so many memories... Cards at the "Hotel Surge"... Basketball (Tony the guard)... Football. The last time I saw Tony was at his mothers funeral. I hadn't seen him since high school. He hadn't changed at all. It was as if we hadn't missed all those years. We talked and reminisced and once again the room just lit up.
