Warren Avery Arbo, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2017 with his loving wife of 64 years by his side. He was born in Bangor, son of Warren and Annie Arbo.
Warren made his living as a carpenter at Sherman Homes and later the University of Maine at Orono, retiring after 14, ½ years of dedicated service.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Bangor for many years.
Warren left this world to begin his next life’s journey, on a clear and cool late summer evening. His pain is gone and he is now out in his garage doing his favorite past time of building “stuff.” Warren will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Chet and Malcolm and a sister, Beatrice.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Harriet (Crockett) Arbo; sons, Kenneth and his wife, Jo-Ann of Eddington, Stephen of Bangor; sister, Dottie McLeod and her husband, George of Brewer; sisters-in-law, Ruth Mishio of Ocala, FL., Carolyn Weber of Brewer and Debbie Reid and her husband, Michael of Old Town; special friends and neighbors, Kathy Ogden and her boyfriend, Howard Stahl; many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held 1 pm Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where relatives and friends are invited to call noon until time of service.
Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
Those wishing to remember him in a special way may contribute in his memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave., Bangor.
