HERMON - Frank William Hall, 89, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2017, at a Bangor hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 25, 1927, in Portland the son of Maurice T. and Regina V. (McLaughlin) Hall.

Frank was born in Portland and was raised in Friendship. He referred to his childhood home as his “Friendship House”. He stationed in Detriot, MI, while serving in the U. S. Air Force during World War II where he met Anita. They married made their home and raised their family in Hermon, ME. Frank worked in sales throughout his life, sometimes traveling for extended periods of time. He owned the Village Market with his wife Anita in Carmel. Frank also owned the Cannon Towel Outlet in Brewer for several years. He retired from the Immigration Dept. as a Customs Inspector at Bangor International Airport. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church with his family throughout his life. Frank enjoyed playing golf and bowling but more than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family. When Anita retired in 1996, they wintered in Englewood, Florida. He was a kind loving genuine man, a devoted father and husband, and a true friend to many.

Frank was predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Anita (Maiuri) Hall on February 12, 2017, a son Lance Hall, and a sister Mary, and several cousins. He is survived by his children; David Hall and wife Juanita of Carmel, and Dawn Mason of Bangor; grandchildren, Kyle Mason, Melissa Hall, and Christopher Hall; and several nephews and cousins; and special friends Devin and Jeanne Corriveau and many lifelong friends.

Funeral services will be held together with his wife Anita at 11 AM, Monday, July 24, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor, following the service.
