The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jean Dole can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Jean (Hartman) Dole, 84, wife for 62 years of Roger Dole, went to be with the Lord, June 28, 2017. She was born December 20, 1932 in Niagara Falls, N.Y., daughter of Laurence and Emma (Holstead) Hartman.
Jean was a strong woman, good Christian and a great mother and grandmother. She loved God and her faith was a solid foundation that was passed down to her to many of the family. Jean loved her family with all her heart and was one of the most generous and kind people in the world. She would help any of those in need. Jean influenced so many in her long life and countless came to love her for the great person she was. Jean was a family person and she loved all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren with all her heart.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Edith Helen Bemis and a brother, Dan.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are three children, Sidney Dole and his wife, Cheryl of Hermon, Stephanie Bemis and her husband Nathan of Levant, and Carole-Jean Forsing and her husband, Bryan of VA.; eight grandchildren, Nicholas and Rachael, Jeremy and Jonathan, Amanda, D.J., Heidi and Jessica; twenty four great grandchildren; one great, great, granddaughter; a sister, June; nieces and nephews .
Relatives and friends are invited to call 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a memorial service will be held 3 pm. Sunday, July 2, 2017.
