Julia “Nina” (Philbrook) Leeman, 83, passed away May 10, 2017 at her home. She was born in East Hampden, May 22, 1933 daughter of Leon L. and Mary H. (Griffin) Philbrook.
Nina served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. She later worked for the City of Bangor and Bangor High School. Nina was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, the Women’s Council and a Eucharistic minister. She was a member and past president of the Bangor Emblem Club local and state.
She was predeceased by a son, Dana B. Leeman, a granddaughter, Dayna “Katie” Leeman, a brother, James Philbrook and Charles Philbrook and her husband, Harold B. Leeman.
Surviving are, a daughter, Susan Leeman Bruns of Bangor, two sons, Michael Leeman and his wife, Nancy of Hermon, Harold “Hallie” Leeman, Jr. and his wife, Karen; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; a sister, Joan Fitzherbert of Bath ; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017, - at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor. Followed by the Rite of Committal, at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden.
