Winterport – Emily “Em” O’Kelly, 51, died April 14, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. She was born August 6, 1965, in Gardiner, the daughter of David and Lula (Alexander) Martin.

Em received a Bachelor’s degree and taught school for several years, but she wants to be remembered as a Christian, a loving mother, and a devoted wife.

Em was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Kevin O’Kelly; 2 daughters, Courtney Sturm and husband Andrew, and Brittany O’Kelly; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at the Community Church of the Open Door, 270 Main Road, Hampden, with Pastor Mark Fowler officiating. Friends and relatives are welcome to call from 1 p.m. until start of service.
