Obituary for Robert Malcolm Davis

Hampden – Robert M. Davis, 89, died March 12, 2017 at a Brewer healthcare facility. He was born March 31, 1927, in Hampden, the son of Vaughn L. and Emma L. Davis.

Bob graduated from Mattanawcook Academy, in Lincoln, and later from Beal College. He served his country during World War II by joining the U.S. Navy. Bob did many things throughout his life, such as offshore drilling in the Gulf coast, and dragging for scallops, but he was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and golf. Bob also enjoyed writing as a pastime. He will be remembered for his wicked sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by three siblings, Yvonne Fearon, Janice Rowell, and Frank Davis. He is survived by a brother Eugene Davis, and a sister, Mary Burns; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors will be held in the spring.
