Hazel Isabelle  Thompson (McNerney)
Hudson – Hazel Isabelle (McNerney) McClure Thompson, 90, passed peacefully on January 16, 2017 at a Bangor Hospital. She was born May 5, 1926, in Bradley, the daughter of Charles H. and Ruby E. (Mudgett) McNerney.
Hazel was a member of the FOE# 3177 of Brewer, and an avid member of the Pushaw Snowmobile Club for many years. She always said, some of her fondest memories was when she was snowmobiling. Hazel was a hard worker, who lived for her family and she loved spending time with her dog and special friend “Angel”.
In addition to her parents, Hazel was predeceased by her first husband, Clarence E. “Pete” McClure and her second husband, Richard Thompson Sr.; three daughters, Judith, Rosalie and Lorraine; grandson, Chucky Olson Jr., and a great granddaughter, Leah Rancourt; two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by six daughters, Sandra Earle and her friend, Ken Rykbost, of Littleton, Susan McMann of Bangor, Nancy McClure of Dover Foxcroft, Roberta Martin and her husband, Rusty, of Corinth, Sharon Mabry and her husband, Jim, of Hermon, and Rose McClure and her friend, Lloyd Libby Jr., of Bangor; sons, Roger McClure and his friend, Debbie Hodgins, of Eddington, and Tommy McClure and his wife, Pam, of Kenduskeag; her sister, Betty Trask of Winterport; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor with the Rev. Garnett Chute, Pastor of the Hermon Baptist Church, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday. Interment will be held at Pushaw Cemetery, Hudson, later in the spring. Those wishing to remember Hazel in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave, Bangor, Maine 04401.
