Kevin D. Rogers, 61, passed away September 22, 2016, after a brief illness. He was born in Bangor, July 6, 1955, son of Frank S. and Grace E. (Warren) Rogers.
Kevin was a loving son, brother, husband, father, papa and friend to all who met him.
He was an outdoor enthusiast, his greatest passion was fishing of any kind, but he enjoyed hunting and gardening as well. Kevin loved spending time in Florida with his wife.
Kevin’s family was first and foremost in his life, he worked hard to provide for them. In 1994 he built his own home.
He worked for Easter Fine Paper Company until its closing, then worked for Lincoln Pulp and Paper.
The family would like to thank the 5th floor staff at EMMC, Dr. Carlos and CancerCare for their loving care of Kevin.
He was predeceased by his parents and a nephew, Jesse A. Rogers.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years and high school sweet-heart, Diane Rogers; his son, Kevin D. Rogers, Jr.; granddaughter, Abigail Rogers; two brothers, Garth Rogers and his wife, Debbie, Greg Rogers and his wife, Sandy; two sisters, Lisa Hickson and her husband, Bob, and Leigh Rogers; one uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and his in-laws, the Andrews family.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 1-3 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2016 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio St., Bangor, followed by the Rite of Committal at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. The family invites friends to share conversation and refreshments in the parish hall, following the mass.
