VEAZIE AND CASTINE - Lucille Farley Cardin, passed away April 15, 2016, at a Bangor hospital. She was born August 6, 1926 in Castine daughter of Lloyd G. and Eva (Sawyer) Farley of Castine.

She graduated Valedictorian from Castine High School and Husson College. Lucille was employed as head bookkeeper at the financial office of Maine Maritime Academy from June 1943 to September 1957. She was a former owner of Cardin Advertising from 1966 to 1995.

Lucille was a member and former treasurer of the Veazie Congregational Church for 25 years, a member of the Veazie Garden Club and Epsilon Delta Alumni Sorority.

Surviving are cousins, Stephen and Therese Sawyer of Springfield, ME., and Russell and Dina Perkins of Beverly Hills, CA.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday April 21, 2016 at the Veazie Congregational Church. Interment will be in the Castine Cemetery.
