Carmel – Thomas J. T. Ashford, 73 of Carmel passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Bangor with his friends by his side.

Tom was born January 20, 1943 in Milford, the son of Myrtle Treadwell and Edward Ashford. He is survived by his brother and two sisters; his niece Gabriele Schorer, her husband Werner and their children Saskia and Eileen, all of Ludwigshafer, Germany.

Tom will be remembered for his wry smile, his great sense of humor, his love of storytelling, and most of all his big heart and generous nature. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
